The brand-new BEST Display is now available for the Corvis® ST. Biomechanical assessment before refractive surgery has been essential since the introduction of the Tomographic Biomechanical Index. The new software includes novel features that open up the field for further clinical applications.
It enables you to analyze keratoconus progression, related to a baseline measurement. In addition, it can detect early sings of improvement after corneal crosslinking. Whereas topographic changes only occur after several months biomechanical changes can be measured with the Corvis® ST already four weeks after the procedure.
The BEST Display is the ideal solution for detecting and monitoring biomechanical changes over time. Please contact your local distributor if you want to get this new software.

In this Online Seminar on Thursday, 17 June 2021, Prof Michael Belin will explain the Belin ABCD Keratoconus Staging and Progression displays, which objectively stage and determine the progression of the disease. It works retrospectively allowing an analysis of previous exams. The latest update includes the progression analysis after CXL, allowing an objective assessment of the treatment success.
The Belin ABCD Keratoconus Staging incorporates anterior and posterior curvature, thinnest pachymetry and distance visual acuity, better reflecting the anatomical changes in keratoconus than traditional Amsler Krumeich grading. This new staging forms the base of the Belin ABCD Progression Display, detecting and monitoring early keratoconus progression.
